PET achievements celebrated at PETCO awards

Cheri Scholtz (above), CEO of PETCO – a not-for-profit company established in 2004 with the specific objective of promoting and improving the management and recycling of post-consumer Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) on behalf of the PET sector in South Africa – was delighted to share the organisation’s greatest achievements in PET recycling for 2015 at their Annual General Meeting (AGM) that took place yesterday, 21 July 2016, at The Venue Green Park in Sandton. As part of the proceedings, PETCO hosted an awards ceremony to honour individuals, businesses and organisations that made extraordinary contributions to the recycling of post-consumer PET in South Africa during the course of 2015. There were 13 deserving winners across nine categories, which included the Best Male and Female PET-trepreneur, the PETCO Recycling Champion, the Best Product using recycled PET (rPET), and many more.
