Worker or Businessperson? Making the shift from the workplace to business.

Property Point, a Growthpoint Properties initiative, is hosting a To The Point live workshop focusing on the transition from the workplace to business.

Aimed at individuals who are, or want to, become business leaders, the Transitioning from Work to Business workshop will take place at the Southern Sun Hotel in Hyde Park on Thursday, 22 September 2016.

The Transitioning from Work to Business workshop will be an interactive session with guest speakers Kulani Lebese and Shadrack Mthethwa – both inspirational business leaders.

Lebese is the Group CEO at GladAfrica, and holds over 11 years of operational and strategic level experience in the facilities management space. He also held positions at Growthpoint Properties and Investec Property Group before heading GladAfrica.

Mthethwa is the founder and CEO at Isibonelo Property Services. Holding over 35 years of experience in the property sector, Mthethwa held positions at JHI Properties, Rand Merchant Bank Properties and Southern Life Properties before establishing Isibonelo Property Services.

The workshop will look at navigating the risks and challenges around making the big change from work to business, as well as the necessity of developing a new mindset to adjust to the different lifestyle.

It will also focus on time and financial management in order to ensure maximum productivity and profitability. The importance of building a network of support and mutual collaboration will be covered too, with practical examples given to help you implement the techniques.

A question and answer session will be held afterwards where individuals can discuss their specific situations.

The Property Point ‘Transitioning from the Workplace to Business’ workshop will take place at the Southern Sun Hotel, Hyde Park, on 22 September 2016. It will start promptly at 6:00pm and finish at 8:30pm with drinks and finger snacks being served. The investment cost is R100.00 and as seating is limited, advance booking is essential and can be made by emailing info@propertypoint.org.za.
