The Vision for Future Energy

Over the past decades Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LP Gas) has played a silent role in energising economies in Southern Africa. Largely untapped, LP Gas is blessed with the potential to power Africa, and more specifically Southern Africa, forward as a sustainable, safe energy medium. Energy mix aside, LP Gas can be positioned as one of Southern Africa’s affordable, reliable answers to energy supply.

The Vision in Energy Event (VIE) was created out of the need to drive LP Gas awareness and a greater market potential. VIE, through its ongoing delivery of world class speakers and panellists, has grown into one of the continent’s premier annual gatherings for key LP Gas industry players.

VIE 2018 - A participation and knowledge sharing platform

VIE, in collaboration with the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Safety Association of South Africa (LPGSASA), will play a crucial role in 2018, shaping the energy development landscape for Sub-Saharan Africa which is represented by the entire value chain; government; corporates; NGOs; SMMEs; suppliers; retailers and consumers.

Speakers and delegates alike will converge in Sandton, to produce meaningful outputs which will shape the destiny of the industry and trigger solid growth strategies for the greater Southern African region.

The VIE/LPGSASA Conference aims to disrupt the current status quo in the energy mix and focus talks and discussion on deliverables in making LP Gas a considerably bigger role-player. – Kevin Robertson, CEO, LPGSASA

WLPGA – Bringing the global stage to Southern Africa

As the global representative in the conference, The World LPG Association (WLPGA) serves as the authoritative voice for the global LP Gas industry, representing the full LP Gas value chain throughout the world. The primary participation goal of the WLPGA, is to add value to the sector by driving premium demand for LP Gas while, promoting compliance with good business and safety practices. An avid supporter of women development in the LP Gas industry, the WLPGA in association with the LPGSASA will host various discussion points around woman in the LP Gas industry, focusing specifically on empowerment and the encouragement of women actively participating in the LPGas industry.

Offering two days of ground-breaking information, this event co-hosted by VIE and the LPGSASA will re-shape the energy landscape, substantiating LP Gas’s critical role in energy supply.
